I had to stop the indignation
it was stealing my life
breath by breath
stealing precious moments
of living
nothing good comes
from the corridors of power
just powerlessness
as they feed on us
and our true wealth
Life
life is too beautiful
to tolerate the theft any longer
I want to enjoy the air
flowing into me
giving me life
I want to sing my song
play to my hearts content
play with life
for no better reason
than being alive
That’s the finest ambition
anyone can have
to enjoy life
and revel in the gift
of living
in every moment
